 Why have a house survey?
Did you know only around one in ten buyers commission a condition survey!

-
A survey can reveal hidden Issues and defects: A professional surveyor will inspect the property and identify existing or potential problems like structural damage, damp, subsidence, or issues with the roof. This is a crucial step in understanding the true condition of the property.
-
Financial protection and potential negotiation. Uncovering significant issues can save you a lot of money in unexpected, costly repairs down the line. If the survey reveals major defects, you can use the report to:
-
Negotiate a reduction in the sale price to cover the cost of necessary repairs.
-
Ask the seller to fix the issues before the sale.
-
Decide to walk away from the purchase entirely if the problems are too severe.
-
-
Peace of mind: As buying a home is likely one of the biggest investments you'll make, a survey provides an expert, impartial assessment, giving you confidence and reassurance in your decisions.
-
Understanding future maintenance: The report can give you ideas about future repairs, maintenance options, and help you budget for ongoing upkeep.
-
Summary: a house survey is a vital part of due diligence that helps protect your investment and ensures you know exactly what you are buying.
